Happy New Year to all!
Right now I’m doing an Assemblage challenge. I joined as a member of The Artist Alliance. So far the challenges of each day with a prompt have been really fun. You’re not suppose to spend too much time on each piece. It’s just an exercise to get your brain and creativity flowing. Here are a few to see:
As Northern California experiences heavy rain, I’ve had the opportunity to update my website. Unfortunately, a planned two-day lino class at Pence Gallery was cancelled due to power outages and flooding in the Davis area. However, I hope to reschedule the class for a later date.
My focus for the coming year includes preparing for a show at Kaneko Gallery at American River College. I’m planning to showcase a range of ceramic sculptures and possibly incorporate elements of felt and ceramics. I’m also hoping to create more paintings and linoblock prints, as well as experiment with cyanotypes and encaustics.
In addition to creating new work, I’m also looking to expand my business and reach new collectors by selling more of my art. It’s going to be a busy and exciting year.
